Erez+ Shiraz | Milton Lee Olive Park
Can you book a proposal photographer in Chicago last minute?
Sometimes, yes. It depends on the date, timing, location, and my availability, but Erez and Shiraz’s proposal is a great example of how quickly a plan can come together when the timing works out.
This was a true last-minute proposal booking. Erez was looking for a photographer the same day, and I was able to show up and capture the proposal within about 3 hours.
Was it fast? Absolutely. But with a beautiful location like Milton Lee Olive Park and a clear plan, it all came together.
Why is Milton Lee Olive Park a great spot for a last-minute proposal?
Milton Lee Olive Park is one of the best places to propose in Chicago because it already gives you so much without needing a large setup. You have the lake, the skyline, walking paths, quieter pockets of the park, and a few easy places to take portraits afterward.
For a last-minute proposal, that matters. You do not always have time to plan flowers, decorations, family logistics, or a complicated setup. A location like Milton Lee Olive Park does a lot of the work for you.
It feels scenic, romantic, and very Chicago without needing to overthink it.
How did Erez plan the proposal?
Erez reached out the same day while looking for someone to photograph the moment. Since I was available and the location worked well, we were able to move quickly.
For a last-minute proposal, the main things that matter are the location, timing, exact meeting spot, and how I can stay out of sight before the proposal happens. Once those pieces are clear, we can keep the rest simple.
That is exactly what made this one work.
What makes Milton Lee Olive Park one of the best places to propose in Chicago?
Milton Lee Olive Park has one of the best skyline views in Chicago while still feeling a little tucked away. It is close to Navy Pier, but it does not usually feel as busy as proposing right in the middle of the pier.
You get the city in the background, Lake Michigan nearby, and enough space to make the moment feel more personal.
For couples who want a Chicago proposal location with skyline views, but not a huge crowd around them, this is one of my favorite options.
Do you need a big setup for a Chicago proposal?
Not always. Big setups can be beautiful, but they are not required for the proposal to feel special.
For Erez and Shiraz, the location and the moment were enough. Sometimes the best plan is simply choosing the right spot, making sure the timing works, and letting the proposal feel like the two of you.
That is especially true for last-minute proposals. A simple plan can still photograph beautifully when the location, light, and approach all make sense.
What happens after the proposal?
After the yes, we take some time for portraits. I keep this part easy with posing direction so you are not standing there wondering what to do next.
At Milton Lee Olive Park, we can use the skyline, lakefront paths, greenery, benches, and nearby views to create a full set of photos without needing to travel far.
Even with a last-minute plan, you can still walk away with photos that feel thoughtful, relaxed, and true to the moment.
How do I help with last-minute proposal planning?
If I am available, I can help move quickly. That usually means narrowing down the exact location, figuring out where you should stand, deciding where I should hide or blend in, and making sure the timing works.
For last-minute proposals, the goal is to keep things simple. We do not need to make the plan complicated. We just need to make sure the important pieces are covered so the surprise stays intact and the photos look great.
Should you wait until the last minute to book a proposal photographer?
I would not recommend waiting if you already know your plan. Booking ahead gives us more time to talk through location options, timing, weather, family involvement, and any special details.
But life happens, and sometimes the plan comes together quickly. If you are planning a last-minute proposal in Chicago, it never hurts to reach out and ask.
If I am available, I will do what I can to help make it happen.
