If you want a private area, ask about the Merrill Room. It is a corner space that can be set up with candles, flowers, or a “Marry Me” sign if you want that kind of look. Its also a great location for unpredictable weather.

What can I expect when proposing at 360 Chicago?

When you book with them, you can choose from a few options. Some of the most common amenities:

  • A decorated private space with candles and flowers

  • A reserved time slot so you are not rushed

  • Drinks at CloudBar, which is on the same floor

  • The option to add on TILT, a ride that leans you out over Michigan Avenue for a fun and unique experience

The staff will also help you with timing so that everything feels smooth when you arrive too. They can escort you straight to the proposal area so you can skip the long ticketing and elevator lines.

Where do you take photos at 360 Chicago?

After the proposal, we will use the windows for portraits with the skyline and lake. If you booked the Merrill Room, that is a great spot with plenty of private space for taking photos. This is great to limit the amount of other guests and potential reflections of people in the space.

We can also add photography coverage for any after parties at the CloudBar, or hop down to street level for more portraits around the area.

Tips for planning a proposal at 360 Chicago

  • Book early if you want a weekend to ensure you get the best time slot for your day.

  • Check the weather since a clear day makes the view much better, but also makes for a great indoor option in the case of rain.

  • Have a simple cover story so the surprise works, like saying you are going for the view or for a drink, meeting for a party or event.
